hello everyone just thought that I would post what is going on with DYI underwater aquarium waterfall w/ sand stay turned for photos and step by step details with photos sand water and rock are in as of right now

These are very neat to look at but i have only seen maybe 2 that look real good and alot that look like crap, i am sure it is hard to get the real look though

Not sure about pool filter sand for that, I think fine sugar sand might work a bit better

Here are the finished state of his tank, he put lexan around the fall to contain the sand. Using white coarse sand and another with crayola blue

WOW :shock: Never heard of these. Very cool when they are done right! What's the basics? Is it very difficult to setup/maintain?

the basics are a sculpture water sand of some sort air bubble stone (the small one not the long ones) and ur air pump

Uses the same general principal as a under gravel filter, a pipe with an opening at the bottom, and a 90 at top, small air stone, air moves water up, pulls and with it, and it falls out the open end making a fall, you have to tune carefully to keep the sand close enough to pull it up the tube

Cool idea and the tanks in the video are gorgeous. Why am I distracted by the poor, lonely Neon Tetra in the second video? Seems a bit outnumbered.
