Good beer.

It came up through CO2 production.

I prefer hoppy ales, IPAs and stouts.

I figured this would pop up over here...kind of digging into a variety lately. One I've kind of been skipping around with lately is Rogue Dead Guy

Rogue is one brand that I have yet to find a "bad" brew.

My "every day" brew is Leinenkugel's original red. For $8.99/12 pack it has decent hoppiness and none of the "Budweiser rice-beer" nastiness. They have other varieties but quit making my favorite seasonal "Big Butt Dopplebock". Excellent flavor if you like hops but another one to enjoy in moderation.

Scotch Ale, I remember the morning after, sort of...

Since I spent the last 4 years about 10 miles from the brewery, I have started enjoying Tallgrass Brewing Company (Manhattan KS). Really like Buffalo Sweat, its an oatmeal stout.
I'm going to go against the trend and say that the higher hops doesn't really interest me

Since we've got so many beer nerds mixed in with fish nerds I think we need to have an outing at Monk's. PM me if you're interested. If there is enough interest I will put it together.

Maybe arrange a beer/plant outing when TJ gets back, make it convenient for everyone.

Just don't confuse plant water for beer.....

I've had one Rogue that was pretty awful sadly becaue I had high expectations. It was bacon doughnut maple ale. Comes in a pink bottle, got it while I was in Florida earlier this year, haven't seen it anywhere around here. It was so smoky the only comparisson I could come up with is it seemed like I drinking a campfire lol

One tasty beer I had recently was Shift, made by New Belgium company, great beer.

Stone brewing Co out of Cali is the best on the planet. I feel strongly about good beer.... and even more so about crappy beer.
We just got back from Omaha and I spent more at Beertopia than I did at NAS. Here is a sampke of what we brought home.

Erdinger is always a good choice!

On a side note, I tried using the Rogue Bacon Maple Ale as a marinade for steak. Turns out I don't like to drink or use it as a marinade LOL The steak was super sweet tasting, ack.
