I visited Thursday December 3 and it looks like it will be a pretty good edition to pet stores in Sioux Falls. I went with a buddy of mine and we went at 6:00 PM and they were still filling tanks and getting fish in. I was very surprised by this considering they were open November 23, but from everything I saw it looks like it will be a great store! I remember reading somewhere that they will carry the normal tropical fish, but also a variety of African Cichlids and South American Cichlids, along with some Salt water I believe. They had a pretty big display tank filled with mbuna, then there were two corner tanks up front one salt, the other filled with koi and some different goldfish. I look forward to going back when they are fully stocked with fish!

Hmm....I really hope they do better than pet Co and mini critters....mainly petco. They fail at every tank they have...last time I was there, there were too many sick fish to count

Are they going to sell high end dog food? We feed or dog bil-jac and cat blue buffalo and unfortunately have to drive all the way over to petco or pet smart whenever we need food. Would be nice to have an east side place sell the food we need.

From the folks I have talked to, Woofs and Waves is a group of folks from MC that branched off to start their own shop.

It's open now. They don't have their everything up and inning yet but they did have the dog food I need. No more going to the west side for dog food!

Well finally made it down to woofs and waves, unfortunately I wasn't impressed. There were at least 3 to 4 dead fish in the saltwater tanks, I think 3 had micro bubbles in them, and unfortunately mark was not there today....I actually sent an email to Justin and he said he would let Mark know the date but I guess he doesn't work Tuesday's....o well...it is still a work in progress so I hope I come to it when it gets better

Finally made it to the east side and stopped in for a visit. Although they are still getting things up and running, the place was clean with a nice size tank system. They seem to have enough room to handle a good variety of fish. Employees were more than helpful and willing to take time and talk. I think I will return again soon.
In my opinion I really like seeing the return of the independent pet shops, I believe this can only be a good thing for hobby.
I wish them and all the "little guys " well in their endeavors against the big box guys.
