Dipping a toe in the aquarium pond again

Postby Nick » Thu Apr 13, 2017 9:01 am

Hey,

Sorta new, but not quite, to the hobby. Had a reasonably decent reef setup back till 2010 out in Tea till we sold the house. Think my forum name was UrbanSage or BarefootNick at the time. Maybe a few old timers will recall.
I've recently set up a small 20g plus sump system and figured I'd check if the local community still exist.

Anywho, enjoy your day
Nick

Hey Nick! Great to hear you're back. A few of of us old die-hards are still around.

Still got my same tank although we bought a different house a couple years ago so there have been a few changes. Guess I should update my tank thread one of these days.

Are you going to set up your mangrove filter again?

I'm always on the lookout for a chunk of amazing live rock to seed my refugium with critters!

Hi Phil,

Good to hear. Your tank was amazing, and I imagine it's only gotten better since.
No, I don't think I'll get quite as elaborate as last time. But, there's a 90 gallon in the basement for when the day comes. For now, I'll stick to my 20g display with 10g sump
and small refugium.

I think I owe you a camera tripod. My departure from the hobby was fueled by some personal stuff, and I sorta moved on pretty abruptly.

Ha! I'd forgotten that tripod. No worries.

Glad to hear you're back and in the hobby. I'm sure you're tank will be doing great in no time. Let me know if you need anything as you get set up again.
