Are you worried about the sand shifting and causing an avalanche?

No not really there is only 6 1/4 pieces of the rock used that a placed in there. Pressed down and moved the sand to fill in the rocks bottom. The rock is touching the bottom of the tank.

Things are really starting to come together!

I think Matt's not purposely playing scrooge with the Achilles. Probably a good idea to add the more timid fish first and let them get settled in. It won't take long for the Achilles to claim most of the tank for himself, even one as large as this. He'll definitely enjoy all that swimming space once he finally gets in there.

After 17 days the container got full. Image Yes, a wet skim. I just don't see sludge going through the tube, could be a big head ache if the hose got plugged.

That is one spectacular Emperor! How big?

Its going to be interesting to see who's the boss of your tank. The Achilles, the Sohal or the Emperor.....my money is on number three.

Oh there will be coral in this tank! He is only 8 inches. Dang he is big though. Definitely showing the blue tang he trumps over him. The Sohal and Achilles have there moments but get along majority of the time, they don't care for the emperor at the moment. Just keep swimming in the water column. The flame wrasse showed itself for a bit.Image Just took a quick shot while I still could as he darts in the rock.

Looks like he may be trying to grow a streamer. Do you know where he came from? If I remember right Emperors with streamers come from a just a few places in the western Pacific...New Caledonia possibly. Certainly a beauty wherever he's from.

Can you tell I'm jealous?

Nice Flame Wrasse also. Keep the lid on tight!

Was told he came out of Africa. I requested a orange tail emperor. Not 100% sure if that is what I got because the anal fins are orange, but the tail fin might have a little but you can't see orange to me anyway. Either way I do like him.
