My 75. Slowly coming back from near death. I apologize for the pic and the dirty tank glass. Used my phone and didn't feel much like shining up the tank for a pic.

Yep that's two tangs. The small one came from the 90 when I tore it down, wife's favorite fish so I couldn't get rid of it.

Love the aquascape and the Achilles tang! I believe this is the first I have seen of your tank Willy. Very NICE!

I got rid of the purple plant.. lol, little too tacky for my taste.

Pics of the betta tank later today after I clean it, kinda nasty looking.

The Roberts Reef. Going to keep it at this level for a few months to make sure everything is stable. The only thing I plan on adding would be copepods for a sustainable food source and various critters for a clean up crew. So far it's been an amazing learning experience.

Hey Lance,

It doesn't take a lot of money or nice things to make a really beautiful and fun tank. Just a little willpower and some research :) Feel free to text me. My number is floating around here. Or just shoot me a pm, and I'll get it to you.

I did a LOT of reading on types of substrates (sand/rock) and while having the pretty blue or green "rock" for a substrate, it has several issues over using sand. The plants don't stay planted, so you have to add lead weights. The Otto Cats can't dig into the rocks all that well, where as they can move sand easily. You can find sand at Menards in the form of Pool Filter Sand, Kids Playground Sand and White Sand. Pool Filter sand is already cleaned. All of these are VERY inexpensive.

Looks aside, the biggest benefit that I can see in using the colored rock is that it's good for under-gravel filters.

So if you're looking to have a live plant freshwater aquarium, I highly recommend using 2" of sand. And don't forget the HO lighting, it does make a BIG difference not only to the plants but for viewing. We'll look forward to seeing your aquarium being posted.

While fancy lighting can make a huge difference, I can show you low light tanks that would blow your mind ;)

I also have a 65 gallon so far just plants not sure what I'm doing with it yet at some point I want to set up my 20 tall and maybe a 5.5 so all the plants would go to them and I would convert it to salt once we buy a house instead of renting

Catfish usually take out bottom sleepers(neons), but the bala might harass them. I have these gups in with African cichlids and they have survived well, occasionally they will take one out but then they r just feeders in my tank even though they r fancy gups. Your call...I have plenty and lots of variety so if u want to try a few and see how it works just let me know...your probably only a few blocks away...this is tea...;)

One of these days I will stop adding corals, and the FTS will go to show growth, but till then here is another with more coral goodies. Pink Hammer, Hammer, lots of new zoos, a couple leptas/leptos, and somewhere in the tank is a leather? havent seen it since it came off its frag plug. Anyone else want some green zoas/palys?
