After the trim. Still a little cloudy. I'll post a clear nod tomorrow

I fixed the wood and cut it all way back. This pic is what came out. Tithe banana lily was 3.5 ft. The jungle val long ones were over four feet. These are pictured in front of a standard 75 gallon tank for easy size reference

My goal was to take it back enough I can hopefully make it a couple weeks before I need to trim again. Yes the discus are all in there except one. They are still pretty small and like to hide in the crypt leaves. They come out like crazy for food. I'll try and get some pics

I figured out it's the bright light from the trimming making the discus hide in the shadows of the wood and plant leaves. I'll get either pics or a video when I turn the lights into dusk mode

Looks great! Almost makes me want to try a planted tank. Actually I would if I didn't already know my wife would ring my neck at the words "another tank". :)
"Good things happen to those who wait" so I'm gonna continue to kick back, put my feet up and wait. Should I happen to get the urge to do otherwise I'll close my eyes and wait for the feeling to pass. :)

Is the wood -driftwood or some wood that you manually waterlogged or did you buy the expensive type of wood that already sinks.

This was done with cotton wood from the James river near the Mitchell area. I wash it then I used super glue and silicon to anchor it to the back, bottom, and sides. The one on the right still wants to float if it were to get loose again.

It's an unstoppable jungle lol. I've removed co2 due to several reasons but mainly it just doesn't need it. I moved the system to a different tank that just got an upgrade in lighting also so it was great timing to move it. All plants continue to grow unphased except the gold plant in front.

Put a bunch of dwarf sag in as foreground and clipped out the sunset hygro still contemplating what to put back in. I may leave it too I like the open space it made

My new angles spawned on a plant leaf todayhttps://vimeo.com/115140595

I estimate 250-400 it's really hard to see the back side but from what I can tell it's coated like the top

I'm surprised at the location because the are right next to the front glass but I think they chose it for the water circulation

They aren't bullying the tankmates that bad either. So even though there's prob 60 gosh in the tank I'm letting them try it on their own

I received these two fish from the puerto Vallarta tank about five months ago. I guestimate then to be 7-9 months old they were the size of a half dollar when i got them

The angles ate their eggs then laid again and ate them again. Gonna just let them figure out but here's an updated photoImage
