40 breeder build

Postby AMDGamer » Wed Mar 25, 2015 6:36 pm

I'm very happy with how the tank has come along, very happy ( me, fish, and corals) and growing like crazy, glad I took my time and spent the money this time around, Kessil's can grow absolutely anything I want at any level of the tank, ( and don't forget the shimmer) sps has split 4 heads in a month and frogspawn and hammer are beginning to split new heads:) again very happy with the 40breeder :)

What do you think of the new salt. Ran out last week and was thinking of picking some up.

it mixed really great and fast, corals seem to like it so far. If your gonna do coral i would recommend it, if FOWLR then i would stick to instant ocean.

Well here goes a update guys,

Tank is just over 1 year and 2 months old and is doing good. I am back on instant ocean as the coral pro I got a horrible cyano outbreak and switched back to instant ocean and now its finally receding:) lost a bunch of coral (tho I think the move upstairs took a little long and the lights were to high) so down to just a few again:( but part of the hobby i guess.
But I am currently in the process of getting a 120 Gallon setup and wont be with this tank to much longer, probably around 3 more months ill have everything moved into the 120.

Gonna be rocking the new Ecotech Marine Vectra M1 Return pump as long with another Mp40:) also moving to metal halides in tandem with my kessils I have now.

I will post pics as I build and well see how this goes this time around, should be lots of memories and lots of fun as I don't see a future upgrade from here, I've been wanting this exact tank for years and finally its happening :D

So enjoy watching this and here are some pics of the 40 Breeder as it sits as of now.

Thanks guys and continue being a great community in this great region of the USA :D
