As most know I had a 65 gallon for my wife and she decided she didn't like it so instead of giving her back all of the living room I talked her into a 40b instead of the 65 it will be a reef tank here is what I have so far I drilled the tank with Matt's help and then painted the back black did 2 1" drain lines drilled and a 3/4" over the back for a return mag 7 as a return pump 300w heater dj power strip an old korlia I had laying around and the light is a 4x96w pc

Yep I'm having a new stand built and I'm also doing a new sump might be a few weeks just depends on how long the stand takes and the move across the living room again but I'm excited to get it set up and all the new rock in it and ready to do a few new things my old sump didn't have socks and I have never dosed anything but the new sump has sock holders and an adjustable skimmer stand so can get it all right it also has a small fuge section

Have never cared for the look of bare bottom but I do like the black sand but it is magnetic so make sure you don't get a sand storm or it will raise all sorts of problems with pumps
