Breeding Freshwater Fish

Postby Sheepskin » Tue Feb 03, 2015 1:52 pm

I just had a quick question for everyone on the forums. I wanted to know if anyone around the Sioux Falls area breeds African Cichlids. It could be just for fun or selling the fry, but I was just wondering if anyone did. I would also be interested in knowing if anyone else breeds something like discus or angels.

Jolson used to breed angels, discus, and a wide variety of cichlids and other fish. I breed angels and a few south americans. Wbooze breeds a lot of africans. Irishman has comps, calvus, and some peacocks.

I have bred salvinia/ brichardi/ Rams/ angles / guppies / white clouds / bosemani rainbows/ freshwater ornamental shrimp. I'll answer any questions I can help with. I also sell on eBay so if you want to sell the fry I can help with that too if you decide to go that route

Thanks for the replies guys! I think it would be great to get into breeding! I will definitely have to do research and do my homework before starting. Is eBay a viable option for selling the fry? I know the fry could be sold here, Craigslist, aquabid. I just didn't know if eBay worked well. I would love to hear your feedback, but thanks for the responses so far!
