too much lighting?

I know the general rule of thumb is 1-3 WPG when we speak in terms of power compact. Would 4 WPG be okay? Too high?
Sorry for so many questions.

Would not worry about power compact light to much. The wpg rule is ineffective in judging salt water. It really matters more what type of corals you want to keep, depth they are kept at, and the par values at the corals depth. In a small tank for soft corals you will be fine. LPS should be ok but sps are more light demanding and I have not seen much success keeping them under power compact lights. I've seen good results under good t5 setups, metal halide,or led for sps

I just have softies. I purchased a small leather frag, and it has tripled in size or more in a little over a week, its at the bottom of the tank, about 10-12 inches deep.
The palys and mushrooms are growing well too.
